Home/Academics/Benchmark Seniors

Where rigour meets readiness

Class VI to Class X, the years that decide what college, what stream, what career. Our Senior wing combines disciplined board preparation with optional IIT-NEET Foundation, without burning the child out.

Our promise

Boards and beyond

We will not pretend that Class X marks don't matter, they do. But a high-90s board score is the floor, not the ceiling, of what Benchmark Academy Seniors should aim for.

Our Senior curriculum lifts the textbook to the next layer of depth, JEE Foundation in maths and physics, NEET Foundation in biology and chemistry, without abandoning anyone who isn't aiming for those exams.

Class-wise focus

The five-year arc

Class VI
Foundation begins. Lab work in Phy/Chem/Bio, structured note-taking, study-skills sessions. Optional IIT-NEET Foundation begins.
Class VII
Concepts deepen. Algebra, geometry, periodic table, light/sound, biology systems. First Olympiads attempted.
Class VIII
The bridge year. Pre-board concept density, weekly tests in core subjects, parent-teacher reviews each term.
Class IX
Board groundwork. Class IX syllabus carries 30%+ of Class X concepts. We treat it with that gravity. Practice tests in board format begin.
Class X
The board year. Two pre-boards, full revision cycles, doubt clinics, mock orals. Personal mentor for every student.
How we teach Seniors

Six pillars of the Senior wing

⊕

Concept-first teaching

Every chapter starts with the why before the how. No rote memorisation of formulae.

📋

Weekly tests

Short, focused, unannounced, tests as feedback, not as judgement.

🔬

Real lab time

Every student does every prescribed experiment. No demo-only chemistry.

👤

1:1 mentoring

Every Class IX–X student has a faculty mentor for academic and personal guidance.

📚

Doubt clinics

After-hours doubt sessions across all five core subjects, every week.

★

Olympiad track

Coached preparation for SOF, IMO, NSO and similar from Class VI onwards.

Lab work
IIT-NEET Foundation

Optional. Integrated.

Many of our Seniors choose to add the IIT-NEET Foundation Programme, an extra two periods a week starting Class VI, ramping up by Class IX. It runs inside the school day, not as a separate coaching class your child has to rush to after 5 PM.

Children who don't take it lose nothing. Children who do, get a measurable head-start on JEE/NEET preparation when they enter Junior College.
